This is a work in progress. Information may be changed or added to. Headtube Decal 1st Generation – I have seen no proof Speed Unlimited Rocket car 1978 2nd Generation – “Speed” 1979 (even late 78 perhaps)-81 (perhaps early 82) 3rd Generation – “T” 82 till end of Thruster ———————————————————————————— Rear Brake Bridge 1st Generation – Round tubing 1981 and earlier 2nd Generation – Flat bridge with “T” stamped into it. 1982 and later ————————————————————————————- Serial Numbers No early Thruster had a serial number from the Factory. In fact it is possible that NO Thruster came with a Factory serial number. Bikes have surfaced with them but it is unclear at this point that they were stamped by the factory or the owner. More research on this is needed, but clearly no older Thruster had them from the factory. It therefore is also unclear if you can determine the year or anything from the serial number as it may not even be factory. ————————————————————————————— How to determine the model Use the model guide here for top tube length and some model details. That may have been added only to the later Vanishing Point. But I havent researched that stuff too much. I think the Ferdie Garcia, Tim Judge and James Burrows model came first. But then in like 80 they got rid of all the models and just did the Vanishing Point and Thruster II. Followed later by the TriPower and Bi-Power. I just looked at my Thruster Ferdie Garcia Replica. It has original stickers and NO “Beware of Rocket Blast”. Oct 25, 2011 - other than the serial #. I can't find any marks on the frame. Any idea what brand / model bmx this??? Blu ray disk drivers. Serial number is the best way to look it up. Nishiki tri A, Raleigh record, Haro Master bmx, Softride, CW Phaze 1 Bmx. Mar 20, 2013 Roger then started a BMX manufacturing company in the early 80's which became CW Racing. In 1983 or 1984 CW made the Z frame as a goof for a trade show. The response was so great they decided to produce a limited number. So I’m going to guess in 79 no and in 80 yes. Download free software wallap software crack website. But that’s just a guess, from the 70 ads on the site I cant tell. ![]() So the question would be did the ever make the Vanishing Point and Timmy Judge model at the same time? Did for that short period add the Beware of Rocket Blast decal to the Judge? IM guessing no, and alot of Thruster models showing it are not original decals. Id have to see an Ad with it to believe the Replica bikes ever came with it. But until I see proof otherwise thats my opinion. What year/s did Speed Unlimited stamp underneath the bottom brackets on Tri-Power XL’s? I know of an XL that’s stamped BB00001. It’s said to be an ’82 but has to be an ’83 because it has the flat T-stamp brake bridge. The history on that frame is said to be an OG chrome/OG decal NOS partially built for display only, in an old bike shop. Previous owner said it didn’t look like it was stamped after the chrome. (I have a standard Tri-Power ’83-’84, flat T-stamp brake bridge, but no stamp underneath the bottom bracket). But now another wrench is thrown into this mystery with the above post mentioning a law in certain states requiring bicycles to have serial #’s.
